First Conservative Candidates Adopted for 2020 Local Elections

The Heywood Middleton & Rochdale Conservative Association are delighted to announce that the first set of candidates have now been formally adopted for the 2020 local elections.

On Tuesday 27th August, members at the association meeting,  ratified the nomination of Councillor James Gartside for Norden Ward, Councillor Ashley Dearnley for Wardle and West Littleborough Ward and Stephen Anstee for Bamford Ward.

Councillors Gartside and Dearnley will seek to retain long-held seats in their respective wards whilst Stephen Anstee will seek to retain the Conservative seat for Bamford Ward when current Councillor Jane Howard stands down.

Selection process remains open for candidates wishing to be considered for other wards in the Heywood & Middleton and Rochdale constituencies.
