Become a Conservative Candidate

We are always interested to hear from people who are interested in standing as a candidate in a local or general election for the Conservative Party.

Anyone over the age of 18 may apply to become a candidate.  Candidates must be current members of the Conservative Party.

Any member wishing to be considered to become a candidate for local elections the Heywood & Middleton or Rochdale constituencies should complete and submit a Council Candidate Application Form.

CLICK HERE TO REQUEST A COUNCIL CANDIDATE APPLICATION FORM.

Following the submission of your application form, you may be invited to take part in a formal interview process.  The approval process is fair and transparent and exists to ensure the quality of each prospective candidate and their suitability to be a Conservative Council Candidate.  Not every applicant is successful on their first attempt, however, every applicant will receive feedback and may be advised of training and areas of development to be considered before a further application is submitted.

If you would like to discuss the roles further please get in touch and we would be happy to arrange a meeting with a local councillor who can answer any questions you may have.
